Re: Date Time stamp on files incorrect

The issue comes from how the GPS module in some DL1s/DL2s handles the timestamp information. It depends on which of several similar GPS modules were used in a particular logger. A firmware update to fix this issue in DL1Mk3/DL1CLUB/PRO/WP and late model DL2 (all of which use SD cards) is now part of...

In defense of RT UK - they have been aware of the need for special hardware for the Hondata KPro for some time, the fault was mine for being unaware of this 'til now. In terms of the channels, RT maps ECU channels into a set of RT ECU channels. In some cases there is no matching RT ECU channel to ma...

Yes, the DASH3lite is field upgradeable to a full DASH3. In the DASH3 menu, under "Firmware Control" there is a submenu for upgrading. This will give you a code #. Give that plus $$ to your RT distributor (or RT) and you will receive an unlocking code that turns the DASH3lite into a DASH3.

Loading a config is easy via DL1, that's how I always do it.

I have not actually tried direct connection to the PC.

Connecting the DASH3 to a PC will require a special serial cable w/ 12V input leads to power the DASH3. RT can sell you one.

But - I find it much more convenient to configure or reflash the DASH3 via the DL1, so I never use the special lead even though I have some!

I've emailed some race data with lambda from my Mk1 VW Scirocco, which is "sort of" mechanical injection- Bosch CIS. And btw, this worked very nicely for early emissions days. I never had a street Scirocco but did/do have an A1 GTI, very good driveability and economy. Has not needed (knock...

For what it is worth, I ALWAYS use an autostart based on speed and have seen no issues. You can still start with the button, but if you forget, power is interrupted, etc, the unit will start for you. No need to use autostop just because you are using autostart, I usually don't but that is just habit.

Also, recent firmware is less prone to this problem anyway, so might be worth updating firmware in any event. If you do have recent (ie last 2 years or so) firmware, by all means try the self-repair process first. If that doesn't work, a very tecchie individual with a hex editor etc might be able to...

The status light is not a steady beat, it's more of a "syncopated rythm" ie a rather complex pattern.

I've never seen one with an incorrect status beat pattern, only "steady off", "steady on" and "happy".

Older DL1s had two green rear connectors, single row screw type connectors. One had the power lead attached.

Newer (Mk2) DL1s have a single, black, twin row connector with power lead attached.

I assume this is what you've got?

OK, after that flattery I guess I have to try to help. For variables from the second DL1, how about using a user defined variable as a second instance of each channel? For instance, you could set up a user defined variable as "Analog 2_1" which was just defined as "Analog1". Then...
