Moving between machines
I'm just looking at the V10 software. (Didn't use the logger last year because of SARS-2!) Obviously a lot of the configuration stuff has changed. The thing is, any hints as to what I need to do to move the configuration backwards and forwards between the laptop I take the race circuits and the mach...

Re: Brake flag
So sounds like easiest thing to do is take a lead from the brake switch and run it into the data logger? Thanks pete That's certainly what I do on my race car. You could also fit a couple of brake line pressure sensors so that you'd know how hard you were pressing the pedal. I haven't do so because...

Re: Configuring wheel speed sensor in analysis software
Please could you email a RUN file over to sam@race-technology.com. I'll take a look and see if I can replicate this. Thanks, I've actually done a bit more investigation and got a bit closer to what's going on. In order to check things before I sent you some data I started a blank analysis session, ...

Re: Configuring wheel speed sensor in analysis software
Could you please show an image of the equation that has been applied in the wheel pickup section of the vehicle options in the Analysis software. Well, the equation works fine in a user defined variable! All the same, here's another screenshot . There you can see the formula being entered in the ve...

Configuring wheel speed sensor in analysis software
For ages I've been meaning to ask this, but as it's the end of the season now's the time to try and understand it! The engine in my car has a perfectly decent speed sensor on the output (it's a motorcycle engine and it's the sensor that Honda use to drive the speedo). I've got this wired into a freq...

Slightly more screen real estate I expect. Over the years RT seem to have moved further away from standard Windows controls, all in the name of more space for the actual analysis windows. An utterly foolish approach in my opinion as it means that there's a myriad small bugs in how the system operat...

Command timeout, HELP!!!
So, I bought a new DL1 Club and that worked fine with my existing Dash4. I've just updated the Dash4 firmware only to find that the ability to use the Dash buttons to control the logger, e.g. to start logging, no longer works. I get a "Command timeout" message on the dash screen. The logge...

New Dash 4 software and variable files
The latest version of the Dash 4 config software has lost the ability to load in the variable file as used by the DL1. As a simple example, I have a wideband lambda connected to analogue input 1 of my DL1. My variable file loaded in the analysis software includes the formula I need ("(x*2)+9&qu...

I've got this on email and forum - I'm not sure which you would prefer to work on? I'll go for email!! Yeah, sorry about that. I posted it in both places due to past experience (eg here and here ) of a complete lack of response here. Just for general information: the DASH3's are often locked to a D...

Re: Mk1 DL1 and Dash4pro
However, when the Dash4 is connected the dash powers up, but no serial data is received, according to the serial monitor built into the dash itself. Hmm, seems like the dash (borrowed from a friend who got it from RT direct, not used it so far) is a dud as it doesn't work with a DL1 Mk3 either. Not...
