Hmmmm... I'll see if I can dig out the CD that came with the logger back in 2006/7. That'll have a very old version on it, probably older than is on your website.

Load old data

All of my Race Technology data is from 2007 and 2008. Today I wanted to load the data from my first ever race, at Castle Combe in 2007. I have V7, V8 and V8.5 installed. Version 7 is reported as 7.5.144, and even if I uninstall it and reinstall version 7097 it reverts to 7.5.144. But it won't load m...

I've had, over the years, a few pressure sensors. Some became ill (VariOhm had a problem with a particular design that would let the medium leak out), but all remained working. Never tested them to see if the calibration was correct, but never had any odd looking traces, or non zeros where there sho...

I think the foil is just a sticker about the GPS receiver. I don't think losing it will have any effect on the unit.

I might be wrong.

There are a myriad of other details that are relevant to the issue that you describe. GMS asked most of them. To start - has the sensor been hooked up with proper polarity to the 5 VDC supply? Verified that you have a good CF card to record data? Getting a GPS lock to time stamp the data properly (...

My Race Technology stuff worked flawlessly 99.9% of the time, and any problems were usually caused by me too.

Bring your car to me, and I'll get it working in a day for you. Perhaps you need to find better auto-electricians?

I had a similar problem once, and never traced the cause. I think (stress: think) it was a GPS locking problem. I started driving before the GPS got a decent lock on the satellites, and rather than getting better over time it just seemed to get worse and worse, as well as (occasionally) influencing ...

We are currently testing the Analysis Software with Windows 7. So far it looks like its going to be less hassle than Vista, so that is at least positive. Unfortunately I can't give an exact date on when a compatible version will be out. I've seen PC's/laptops advertised with XP/Vista and a free upg...

Bah, I didn't even see the second question! If I had, I would have helped, as I used pretty much this exact formula with my brake switch.

The 'Gear' standard variable just works... No need for custom formulas or anything... 1. Enable the variable if it isn't already. This is done in the Variable Manager by ticking the right box and clicking apply. 2. Go into Vehicle Options, and the gears tab, and put in your numerical gear ratios - e...

I've used the DL1 for years now. Never had that problem. Sensors have been pretty much plug and play. Have you looked at the voltages the DL1 is seeing (Use the Monitor software with your laptop plugged into the DL1), and tried converting them using the given equations manually? The only time I had ...

The figure will vary depending on how quickly your car revs and how many revs you drop in the shifts. I use 150rpm in our F3 car between each shift light (although I am thinking of changing this to 100). Having a varying gap probably wouldn't matter once you get used to it, but it'd be harder to jud...
