BMW sensor response curves
Does anyone have the response curves for the OEM BMW Temperature sensors? We are trying to install a dash and I would like to try to reuse the existing sensors. The engine is a euro S50B30 Sensors are: oil temp. 12 31 1 309 193 coolant temp. 12 62 1 747 281 I think they are VDO but do not have them ...

Alarm condition based on time?
On a Dash2Pro I am trying to implement a conditional alarm for oil pressure. I want: if(oilp<2bar AND rpm>2000 AND time > 500ms) show alarm It works now with: IF(VAR_0010 >= 2000, VAR_3501, 10) Then I trigger the alarm on the variable being < 2 Though it looks good while testing, the alarm occasiona...

Dash2 Pro and Video 4
I'm having trouble getting my Dash2 Pro (internale logger) to trigger video logging on my Video4(no gps). It seems to work if I start them separately. But I would like the video to start automatically with the Dash2 Pro logging. I tried triggering it by Logging Status. But it seems Logging Status is...

How is the GoPro enable output logic implemented?
I have a customer interested in using a ReplayXD with RT instead of a GoPro. Is there anything particularly special about the GoPro status output logic? Or is it simply a convenience that could be implemented otherwise by manipulating the available options? i.e. is it just driver low when Logging St...

Any updates on GoPro support?
Our customers are pretty keen on the GoPro support. Unfortunately, when a guy is building a new race car and new dash/datalogger hardware, they also tend to buy the latest greatest GoPro! Has there been any new development re supporting the latest crop of GoPros? I understand you support the White o...

I have had problems like this with transient voltage drops. If you log the voltage, yo may see it drop just before it crashes. Try running separate power from the battery - i.e. not through the main battery cable. This will isolate it from voltage drops caused by high current. If you run a 3 pole ki...

Converting .ccf CAN files for use with Dash2 Pro
Is it possible to convert an older .ccf config file for the standalone CAN adapter for use with the new Dasd2 Pro embedded CAN interface? Or do I need to retype everything?

I've had problem like this related to bad serial connections. Vibration in a race car is hard on the connections. I've had bad cables (the cheap grey one). Also broken solder connections within the black RT shells. Or the screws could just be loose and vibrating. With the RT devices, the serial cabl...

To use the alternator LED on the DASH you have two options... 2 wire alternator: Battery plus small field wire. In an OEM config, the field wire goes to a bulb. The voltage across the bulb lights the bulb. When the field is energized, the bulb is at battery voltage and it goes out. The LED can not d...

You're not very specific. I assume you mean a Dash2? I have a hell of a time getting them to flash with the serial cable. The flash crashes almost every time. However, if you flash it from the card on a DL1, it works every time. And it's a lot faster. Put the HEX file on a clean flash card in the DL...

Pectel SQ6 and CAN Adapter
Trying to get our Pectel SQ6 ECU to talk to the CAN adapter. We have the Pectel set to Omega Mode. But I can't seem to decode any of the messages.
I think it's a byte ordering problem but there are a hundred combinations. Has anyone got this working?
Thanks
Peter
