Re: Video integration with data-issues

I've been playing with video.data integration a long time, only recently started using the RT components for this; with all the heavy emphasis in the marketing material about using the GoPros, I had no idea that RT's SW allows any video stream to be used! In my case, I'm using Contour HD cameras - m...

Re: Test Dash4Pro

Wasn't really following this topic, but wandered in and realized... I've had some of the same problems with shift lights with my Dash4, through last year. Will have to doublecheck, but I'm 99.9% certain I'm using newer SW and firmware than 2014... since I only got my Dash4 within the last year or so...

Re: Strain gauges on DL1

I would fully expect an amplifier is needed; pretty sure there are no strain gauges that'd provide a big enough signal to measure, not unlike TCs or such. Had looked at this style of amplifier, though there was some question raised if it would work in an automotive environment... https://www.amazon....

Interested in what you find; I've been looking at upgrading to strain gauges on my car, after a few seasons of running position sensors...

Re: DL1/Dash2 Does not start logging

OMG!!

Thank you VERY much for that little nugget of data... I've also been having a long run of very good results with cards working (after some initial travails early on)... but I haven't formatted a card recently... and looks like I will continue to not format them, only delete all data...

Re: GPS data jumps (same spot, every lap)

Time slip is based on whichever lap has the "radio button" selected in the lap/sector/best lap time display... so by default it's the theoretical best selected... you can switch to the best Continuous lap, or any individual lap, by clicking on the circle next to the appropriate lap... it w...

Re: 2017 SCCA Runoffs

Obviously no longer much of a concern, but I had no problem with getting lap times in my car... just reading them (too fast)!!!

Re: DL1 MK1 No Longer Recording on CF Card

Hmmm... I've only used Windoze itself to do the formatting - perhaps try that to compare? Though I'd hope there's no difference...

Re: Oil pressure warning DL1+ Dash 4

Another option, if you want to see a displayed value instead of triggering the flashing RPM/warning lights, is to use a conditional (display on value) readout... could have this simply be the oil pressure popping up on your screen only if it becomes an issue... or I've used a bitmap graphic that sai...

Re: Oil pressure warning DL1+ Dash 4

Certainly - did this on mine - same setup as you, Mk2 DL1 and Dash4. I created a user-defined channel I called "GaugeWarning" with the following definition: ((VAR_0010>5000) and (VAR_0200<1.5)) Where VAR_0010 is RPM and VAR_0200 is oil pressure (in bar). This, naturally, goes to a value of...

Re: Lap counter not displaying

I'd also wonder about the dash config itself, is there any chance the wrong variable is lined up with the display object for the dash layout?

I don't know what the correct one is, I've never used that function, but I've seen similar issues arise with layouts...
