I think wiring it to the 5v reference is where ive gone wrong. It should be wired to 12v as you rightly said. Will try this over the weekend. Thanks.

no mph/wheel speed/dash2

just installed the rt wheel speed sensor but get 0 mph on the dash 2. led on the sensor blinks when the target bolt passes but no mph readout on the dash. I put the correct pulses per mile into the dash via the buttons as per the manual. checked the wiring, still nothing. 5v reference shows 4.5 volt...

aem pressure sensor resistance

I have an aem pressure sensor p/n 30-2131-150 that I am using for oil pressure on my dash2. although the sensor came with an instruction sheet it doesn't say the resistance in ohms , so I don't know what size pull up resistor to use. can anyone shed any light on this? It has the supply current, supp...

5v reference on dash 2

bit of a newbie question, but how many sensors will the 5v reference on the dash 2 support. I have rt coolant temp sensor, rt wheel speed sensor, vdo dip pipe fuel sender and an aem oil pressure sensor to connect up. Do I simply add the max milli amps each sensor will use and see if it is within 50m...

wiring sensors to dash 2

electrics are definitely not my strong point, so need some help explaining some basic wiring, namely the sensors. How do I wire the 3 wire oil pressure sensor to the dash2 ? i have read that i may need a resistor? I assume 1 wire is ground, and another goes to the analogue input on the dash2 but tha...
