It is simple to check the wires and pin locations. Look at the wiring schematic that lists the wires by position and check that the wires are in fact soldered to those pins by using an ohm meter or continuity tester.

Might I suggest that you inform your distributors of this problem since obviously customers have been receiving the improperly assembled parts.
