Reflashing w the new (DL1 Mk1 customer reflash V16 080901.hex) you sent maybe solved this problem. I went for a test, had several .LAP files and it selected the correct one. So far a success. BUT: -Ive got the DL1 setup to autostart/stop. Stoping in the middle of a lap stops the logging and the Dash...

You cant just hook the dash3 to the PC. The Dash3 unit needs to be powered by 12v at pin 7 in the dsub. Either by the adapter from RaceTech or simply make an adapter where you connect +12v at pin 7 on the dash3 and GND at pin 5. It is very convenient to configure the unit directly from the PC instea...

Hmmm ... might be on to something. I renamed the lap/sector marker file from MARKER01.LAP to GISE.LAP and it worked.

Does the DL1 assume that MARKER##.LAP files are produced by the logger and shouldnt be read or something?

DL1/Dash3 doesnt load .LAP file

Ive created a LAP file with the analysis on a recorded run, saved it as MARKER01.LAP and put it on the flashcard which goes into the DL1 logger. According to the documentation the logger should read the lap/sector markers from the file and upload them to the Dash3. This doesnt seems to happen. The D...

Im using the autostart/stop without any problems. I will check what my setup looks like, what firmware Im running and post it here later. Its very nice to have the auto function. Earlier I tended to remember to start data logging halfway in to the session (if at all) or something like that. Rather a...

Copy&Paste graphs into other applications?

Is there anyway to copy&paste graphs into other applications? Only way Ive actually managed to do it was to make a screendump and crop the part Im interested in. Not very professional and gives a rather low resolution of the resulting picture.

Make sure that you have point (.) and not comma (,) as decimal separator. Thats what I changed to get it working. Its found in the regional settings in the control panel.

OK, we (or rather you) found the problem. Just tested w uk settings for numbers and there it is! Beatiful map appears.

It needs to be fixed though since its not practical to change the regional settings dependent on what application youre about to run.

OK, I did a quick try w the Eastern_Creek_15304 run file, but unfortunately exactly same timeout errors. What is the difference between you and me? Im running Windows 200 professional here at work and XP at home. Same result at both locations. Any regional differences in comma versus point separator...

Ive tried both with the default layout and an empty one, loaded loggdata, opened up a track map, under options clicked on "Download map as background", new empty window pops up and after a short while a timeout message appears, doesnt matter how many times I click on yes retry, Internet co...

Guess Im being a bit thick, but I cant get it to work. If I export as a .csv file, open the file and manually removes the leading text, changes decimalseparator from , to . and removes the separating , I can import to Matlab. After naming the variables I can save the environment as a .mat file which...

Which variables do you have to export? I assume you need time, speed, long acc, lat acc, pos x, pos y?

Do you simply export as comma separated csv file? Any formatting of the file before reading in LapSim such as removing the header or something like that?
