Has there been any progress on this problem? I ran into the same issues last year and am finally back to looking for a resolution.

Thanks,

Mike

AEM / DL1 interface problem

I've read the threads below as well as the manual that came with my interface cable, but I still haven't found the magic combo that gets valid data logged on my DL1. m m I am now on Firmware v33 of my Mk1 DL1. The instructions in the first post appear to conflict with my manual, as regards the actua...

Yep, that solved it!

I'm OBDI - '95 was the cutoff for that on the M3 - and I picked up the TPS input wire to the ECU. I believe it was on pin 79 of the ECU loom.

Thanks for the help,

Thanks, I will check that out. I'm not picking up from the cluster though, unless that's feeding from the same output I picked up from the ECU loom. I was there anyway to grab the Throttle Position Sensor input to the ECU so it wasn't any extra work to make my connection there. Edited to add: this i...

RPM error

I have connected the RPM input to my ecu into the RPM input to my Mk1 DL1 and find the value doesn't make sense. My car is set for warm idle at 1150 rpm. The tach indicates idle is essentially there, yet the DL1 indicates idle is approx 1750. Is there some setting I need to change to have it accurat...

Thanks Jeremy. Al forwarded the latest firmware update and I'll flash it this weekend. I had a small typo in that last post, now corrected. The "rough" calibration seemed to solve the lateral G difference quite effectively, but I didn't see a problem with the longitudinal G readings so I'm...

More info. I ran the Lite Monitor program and found Left G readings at .84 vs right at 1.18. The longitudinal readings didn't have such a disparity. I ran the manual calibration process and the left/right readings are now .99XX and 1.01XX, which is close enough for me. Does anyone know where to get ...

It's mounted securely with heavy duty velcro. It does not move, even slightly.

My braking data ranges from 1.2-1.3 Gs (1.3 on concrete), so that seems to be in the right range.

A couple Mk1 problems

I'm running into some problems with my DL1. I've had my Mk1 in my car and a couple friends' cars for the past two autox events. In all cases, we're seeing significant differences between max left and right lateral G forces - on the order of .4 or .5 G differences. This makes no sense in highly optim...

Got it! A friend tipped me off that an autocross lap must not have a lap marker. Deleting the Start of Run marker that I established as a lap marker immediately displayed sector times.

Autocross sector times

I'm having a good deal of trouble with sector times on some autocross runs. I'm manually setting the markers and sectors, being sure to set the lap marker as "Start of Run" and the finish as "End of Run". The help file notes once the sectors are defined, their respective times sh...

Latest software?

Is the latest software available online or do I have to request it directly from Race Technology?

Thanks,

Mike: If it IS the antenna, we owe you a new one under warranty! By the way, your DL1 is presumably a 10Hz unit judging by the date. The 10Hz units act a bit differently - When GPS lock is achieved: 5Hz units: Long flash, followed by a quick short flash for each satellite seen. Repeats every few se...

I got the unit in November, if I recall correctly. I've used it a couple times while trying to familiarize myself with it, but it's been kinda intermittent. We put it in one friend's car for a couple laps and he didn't get any data because it wouldn't lock. But after that I've used it successfully. ...
