Yeah, you MUST stop logging before killing power.

If you don't... you will corrupt the card, and must reformat it before using it again.

Maybe that makes more sense now...

Suggestion - have you checked the cal on the sensor? You should be able to use a mighty-vac, with some creative matching of fittings etc, to apply at least that much pressure/vacuum... At least to get a sanity check, which seems to be what you're after. Are you logging CAN signals from the ECU as we...

Oh, wait, so if I understand correctly, you're not saying that the currently-available off-the-shelf ECU or CAN interfaces will work with the correct config, rather that we'll need to make our own interfaces to convert K-line to serial messages?

Display Screens - multiple inputs

The current "Display Screens" functionality only allows toggling on one variable... at least that I've seen in the Dash3 and Dash4Pro setup. I think it'd be pretty sweet to allow use of different variables for different screen selection... for example, one screen while speed is below 10mph...

OK, have investigated the display screens function... looks like it could be quite useful, especially as I don't actually use all 4 screens much. Unfortunately, there is still the apparent limitation in the software that only one variable can be used to toggle display screens... for example, I can't...

Slight follow-up on this, for others who might be wishing to do this... I had to try a few different ways to get this to work as intended. Displaying the bitmap certainly worked great, exactly as described above. However in testing, I found an interesting point... the bitmap, being black and white, ...

Dash3 config - show bitmap with channel??

Question to make sure (before I need it, hope to never see it) I have a bitmap configured correctly. Since the stock text is pretty hard to read, I have created a bitmap to use as an oil pressure warning that says "OIL" in very large, much more legible type - takes up the whole screen. I h...

We've had problems if we have both a setup and dash file on the same card at once. Typically we'll first load a setup file, wipe it from the card, then load the dash.hex... but then also wipe that from the card and just run a clean formatted card for the weekend. I prefer to leave the dash file off ...

FYI - i'm running into a saturation problem at ~100 mph or so. My M8 bolt head isn't big enough. The head passes before it can activate the hall sensor (cherry, not a R-T sensor) Need to machine a bigger target for the sensors to pick up reliably above 100 or so. Ack, that sucks. How many pulses pe...

Log supply voltage without using an analog input

Is there any reason why the DL1 doesn't log its own supply voltage? My other logger (AIM) does this; it seems silly that I'd have to burn up an analog channel just to track this, when it's already an input into the unit.

This would seem a wise addition to the next hardware/software build...

...and then you bring this in as a freq input, correct?

I'm interested, as I have a speed sensor on my drive sprocket from the factory ('08 Suzuki GSXR), would love to log that without burning up another analog input channel - already maxed out!

Excellent, good to hear - I hope it'll be a better, more legible style of font too, not just the same stuff at a different size?

New wider font for Dash3 and Dash4

Carrying over from my thread in the hardware section... since this has evolved into basically a software new feature request... Visibility of the Dash3 and Dash4 is really lacking in open-cockpit cars. We've tried many different options and hardware... but a key limitation is the font that is curren...
