It's going back a couple of years, but I had this once... I can't 100% remember why it did it, but I think I'd used the config program to change the name of the run files, but used the wrong number of characters... iirc it started making folders instead of files... But do not quote me on this, as I ...

It used to be daily. But I haven't seen an official post from Race Technology for weeks/months now.

I hope Race Technology is still going...

I'd start with the outside angle, but you might find the average or inner gives a better result for your comparisons. Calculated steering angles based on corner radii etc are incredibly inaccurate really, as there is no such thing as 'corner radii' - it's changing ALL the time based on line, bumps, ...

I think he's using the GPS sensor for speed. Do you have the gear variable showing up at all? In some recent versions of Analysis it appeared to have been removed (or was missing), so that might be why. The only solution I'm aware of, and I'm not necessarily using the latest version of Analysis, is ...

Sounds like a short in the wire? I've had dodgy Oil P sensors in the past, but I believe RT cured the problem with the aid of their supplier. You might still be on the old type that was a bit more prone to failure?

Could you trim the run file that starts first (Run Manager, Reduce Run Length [I think]) by 13 seconds? Might take a bit of trial and error, but should leave you with good data, shifted to where you want it.

If your sensors came from RT then it's very, very, very likely that they are the ones for the built in equations. A quick phone call with the numbers on the sensor would confirm this for sure.

Are you using Race Technology loggers? Because I believe the conversion for their 'own' sensors is included in the setup/analysis softwares. However, I do sometimes use a manual equation, just in case the built-in equations get corrupted, as happened to me one after a software update.

That would be great!!!!!!!!! I would love to compare Race Technology data with Racepak data. As most software can export in a 'known' format to Trackvision overlay software with csv files then in theory all we need is a bit of software than can read csv data and analyse it. Graphs, histograms, maps ...

Yes, I think you can. You can use IF() statements like MS Excel, so I think you could have If(1<Var001<2,1,if(2<Var001<3,2,if(3<Var001<4,3... Where Var001 is the input voltage data. That should give definite, noise free gear 'steps' to see. However, I do not know if Analysis can do x<var001<y

Simply go into Variable Manager and reenable it, by clicking the tickbox next to Gear and re-analysing the data. Often a good idea to make your own custom variable file, with stuff you don't use turned off and filtering to match the application. Also means that you never get hit by the default setti...
