Or just type "89KW to HP" into Google? Or just multiply by 1.341. No need for websites for such a simple conversion.

Help - Software - Technical - Measuring Power and Torque.

Make sure you have lots of salt to pinch, because the data, even in very carefully obtained, will NOT be accurate. With identical cars though you could use it to make sure no one has a power advantage, in a spec series for example.

If you had some form of inclinometer measuring bank angle then it would be relatively easy. But the DL1 doesn't know where the g-force is coming from... Perhaps you can derrive this from the GPS position and speed? Turning is an acceleration, which is a rate of change of velocity. And you know the l...

Sent a run file of a dry (but very cold) session earlier this month in my F3 car. As you didn't say what type of car you drive I don't know if it will be any use other than for making a set of track markers up in advance (although if I'm braking later than you they might not be a good guide as it's ...

Yes, this would be a nifty feature. Perhaps a special flash of the remote log status light would work. It turns on as the unit powers up, and it turns on when logging. But a double flash every so often with a GPS lock would be really great. Two second interval, then two quick flashes, two second.......

Not really - just put the lap file with less sectors on the memory card (I think that's how it's done) in the root directory (X:\track.lap). Put the other lap file with more sectors on your laptop somewhere, and just click load sectors/markers after you've loaded some runs into analysis.

One way to do it would be to make two .lap files, one with all your sectors for analysis, and one with a reduced amount of sectors for driving. You can add and delete markers manually, and define which markers make up which sectors, so it would be reasonably easy to make two .lap files. Of course th...

Analogue 8 on the DL1 is battery voltage as standard I believe, so you should be able to display this on the Dash2 easily.

In the variable manager there are options for smoothing, filtering and maximum/minimum rate of change. Set all these to 0 (or None, for filtering), and you'll get the values it sees. However, the rate of change of acceleration is never infinite, so you'll not get a square wave effect. But it does lo...

If it's triggered from speed, then yes it would. The solution would be to manually start a log file in the paddock (with a GPS signal, so not indoors) whilst at a standstill, and generate the zeroing from that.

I had a similar issue (I think I had pretty much every issue possible with the remote start/stop!).

Using a pull-up resistor (I think it was 1kOhm, between 5V and Remote, whilst the button itself is between Remote and Ground) seemed to fix it.

Give it a try.

We used these http://uk.rs-online.com/web/2650736.html which I think might be the same item RT sell (no idea how the price compares though).

Resistors are internal to the DL1.

On mine I have 5V to switch, and the other lead goes to an input on the DL1. No external resistors required, and the switch is only a few quid from Raceparts or DT.

You have to load the .run files (which don't know what software you had when you made them). .raf files are version dependent, and I've not heard of a fix. Make up a nice set of V7 layouts, variables and car parameters, and load the run files again as requiring. It doesn't take long unless you have ...

Our car was originally with a TOMS engine, and now has a 3SGE in it, so that could be a fun comparison! To start with we used the DL1's basic logging (GPS, Speed, RPM, accelerations), and added water temp and oil pressure. This year we've added a brake switch (on/off rather than pressure, because we...
