The DASH2 only has a low level RPM input, but the DL1 SPORT has a high level RPM input which you should be able to connect to the low tension side of the ignition coil.

It isn't advertised on the website, but we do have firmware for the ECU interface to change baud rate, so you connect one serial port at 115.2kbaud and get data out of the other port at whatever speed it is programmed for. If you are technically minded this can also be done with a simple microcontro...

Hello, I recommend you connect the PC using the lite monitor program instead of the DASH. You will be able to see all the data from the syvecs and then if you watch the data for some time checking the samples are continually updating. If you see the data samples stopping then you know it is on the E...

The first thing to check on the DASH2 is that it is set up to use the internal wheel speed sensor and not to get the data from the RS232, this is done in the menu on the unit under the speedo/rpm/gear section.

New firmware has been produced for the interface since you bought the units which you own. If you email me, mhill at race-technology.com I will send you the new firmware through. Sorry I couldn't get back to you sooner, I was out of the office for the last three days of last week.

Have you checked the settings for the number of pulses per engine revolution? Depending on the settings on the ECU and in the software that could give odd results. I assume there is a tacho output from the MSD box?

Yes it would need to be switching regulator. We are looking at modifying the hardware on the DL1 CLUB to be able to provide enough power on at least one of the 5v ref outputs. The issue with the GoPro cameras is that they just behave in the same way. On the ones we support you can connect a line to ...

Hello, V = (R1 / (R1+R2)) * V R1 = Sensor resistance R2 = Pull up resistor value V = Supply voltage (Must be regulated (fixed) voltage. All units have 5v reference out Pull up resistor value need to be similar to the resistance value of the sensor. I recommend in this case 1K. This is because the 2 ...

Hello, It is not possible to read back the configuration from the unit on the DL1 mk2. I recommend you leave the configuration on the memory card all the time to be sure it has the configuration on you want. To check firmware please view the run manager from the analysis with a run file loaded in, K...

Your DL1 should be fine for reading battery voltage. Check that there is no scaling being applied to the data being shown on the DASH2, you can check this by looking at it on the lite monitor. If you are seeing an odd voltage try connecting up the 5v ref and see what you get then. If you are still h...

You are correct, the DASH2 can only view analogue data from channels 1-16. As these are commonly used on the DL1 and DL2 we decided to put the analogue data from the ECU on the higher channels. Email me directly, mhill at race-technology dot com and I will sort out a version of the firmware which ou...

You mention that you are using the DASH2PRO unit, if you look in the drop down list for the 'Set up LCD data areas' section you will see the analogue channels in the list not far from the top.

I would be very surprised if it caused any damage at all, if it takes too much current it will stop the unit from working correctly but won't hurt it. I doubt very much if it will take a lot of current as the SD cards are very low power. I have never heard of anybody trying one of these and would be...

I have been in discussion with James Murray about the development of this for some time and can confirm that the new format of data will be easily configurable on any of our CAN decoding units.
