Hello,

Which model of sensor do you have?>>> http://www.pennyandgiles.com/getattachm ... e_oct11(EN)

The connections for this one for example would be
Yellow - Connector 1 pin 9
Red - Connector 2 pin 9
Black - Connect 1 or 2 pin 6

Least significant byte. If you had a message

0xAA 0xBB 0XCC 0xDD

3OE is the sum of the messages, making the the checksum 0x0E.

Hello,

It is the LSB of the sum of the messages including the header. So in this case 0x34

Sideways-dan you are correct. tyop Here is some info on the equations m There is a limit but all i can say is it is big. It is not related to how many characters you write so it is difficult to say how long. I recommend you use analysis and create a user defined channel using your equation with some...

Hello,

When stationary you should be getting a completely steady 0. Do you have a data logger in this installation?

The sensor has an LED on the back can you see if it is flickering when speed is moving around when stationary?

Hello, Yes it is possible. You can use a user defined equation. Similar to what i wrote here>>> m Make the user defined equation to read 30 for example if RPM is less then 2000 and have the alarm based on the user defined channel. if(VAR_0010>2000,30,VAR_3501) If(RPM is less then 2000 output 30 else...

We are not going to modify the software to fit on a 600 pixel high screen. The smallest commonly used screens are either 720 or 768 pixels high, so we will try to make them fit within these sizes.

I would be surprised, if you think that at 3000rpm you get 50 rotations per second, the main combustion event is over in 1/4 of this, so if you sampled at 200Hz you would have 1 sample during the combustion event on one cylinder, you are looking for something which happens during a small fraction of...

I would strongly suspect that the duration of the signal from the knock sensor will be way too short to do anything useful with this, you would really want to be sampling the data massively faster to do anything useful with it.

Hello,

I have passed this onto the correct engineer to address it but it is unlikely to change for a few months.

If you're running windows 7 you can use Cntrl + Alt + LEFT as a solution. ;-) (Cntrl + alt + up to go back) but I recommend you find another laptop to use.

You can use the shift lights to indicate a warning as well as RPM. If you set the shift lights to be using a user defined variable http://i39.tinypic.com/6rrhpw.jpg You then need to create a equation for the user defined channel. - If water is more then 100 or oil temp is more then 140 output 7000 e...

Hi Chris, 1) Not sure about the Edis. If it is the DASH2 standard it has to be low level which is 0-20 signals. If it is the DASH2pro then it has a high level input go on to the negative side of the coil which is a switching 12v signal but with huge 100's of volts spikes. Check the Edis documentatio...

Hello, If you are using the sensor as an RPM pickup, you must check that you have a big enough "target" to trigger from, most of our RPM inputs need at least a 1mS pulse to trigger from. Given a pulley diameter of "D" (in mm) and a maximum RPM, then the minimum target size (in mm...
