Video4 and missing channels

Using a Video4, DL1, CAN interface, Dash2 all wired as per the manual. The inputs from the DASH2 are not getting to the Video4. The Dash2 is configured for RPM, and A1-3 are OilTemp, OilPress, FuelPress, FuelLevel. The dash is working correctly and is reading items from the other devices such as Coo...

Is there an easy way to flip it to the other drawing method? Or do I have to uninstall and install? Reinstalling or repairing did not ask the question...

...directdraw worked.

Thanks

Logging restarts in the middle of a race.

I've had this problem for a long time with the DL1 but now the Video4 is doing it too. Several times during a session the predictive lap times reset to 0:00:00 and start counting up as if it was a new session. Now with the Video4 it is starting a new session in the middle of a race with separate fol...

Analysis Crashes in Windows 7 Pro 64 bit

I recently upgraded my Thinkpad and it uses Windows 7 64 bit. Most of the time Analysis crashed when it loads the video (Video4). Crash dump is as follows... Any chance this can be fixed? Is there another codec I can substitute? Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: Analy...

We had problems wiring dual senders in parallel. If one goes to zero, then the parallel resistance also becomes zero. This will give you impossible readings in high G corners. Wiring the senders in series resolves the problem. We use a 1K resistor with good results on BMWs. Rc = (R1 + R2) /2 except ...

I'be has this problem recently with several units. The first time I reflash it messes up the unit. However, the second time I reflash it works perfectly. I am told it is virtually impossible to mess up the Dash2 with a reflash. So I keep trying and eventually it works. I suspect is might be to do wi...

2 wire BMW ABS Sensors

It seems my E36 BMW M3 has 3 wire ABS sensors for the front wheels but only 2 wire ABS sensors for the rear. I assume the 3 wire front sensors will work just fine. But is there an easy way to adapt the rear sensors? Or does anyone know a 3 wire replacement sensor that will fit the stock rear E36 fit...

New style CAN adapter wiring

Is it possible to power the previous Serial CAN adapter off the serial connector as with the newest CAN adapter? Of course you would need to also add the power wires to the terminator for reflashing/programming.

I'm looking to simplify as I rewire things.

Serial Cabling Schematic

Now that I have my DL1, Dash2, CAN interface, and Video4... I am going to rewire my cockpit. One thing that concerns me the the number of cables and connectors involved - including extension cables. I was thinking of making a custom wiring harness to run all the devices together without all the conn...

That's the thing. I son;t see any variables that look like lap times or SIM variables either. Exactly what are the called? I am using Video4 Config 2.2.71 from setup_7065. When I load the example layout NTSC\Example1.VGL, if I click on the controls for Predicted, Best, or Lap, the variable property ...

How to copy elements between Video4 configs?

How can I copy an element from one Video4 config to another? I see that I can load another config on top of the current config... But that seems to make a huge mess. It would also be nice if you could group elements together. The sample template dash layouts are very complex and fragile. It's easy f...

Turns out it can not do it. Any chance we can have more options for scaling the 2nd to 4th videos? Again, I would like to have a very thin but very wide angle view across the top. With a very wide angle lens, I would want to crop it to a very thin section to show the action behind the car without ta...
