Some of the issues with the Dash2 will be a matter of the past when the new configuration software is used.

Analysis software 6.3.109 now available.

Thanks RT for acting quite quickly!

Al, I have reported and emailed to Lorne who passed the issues to Andy. He will produce a fix for some of the issues today. The issue with the permanent "+" on the lap-time slip is new to RT and they will look into matters. I hope that a fix will become available prior to the all crucial w...

I'm sure other users would appreciate your sharing some specifics of what you have found.

Thanks,

Will do when time allows.

But isn't it RTs duty to write a manual that buyers allows to use their Dash in the first place???

With extensive testing our specialist Ti has found a way to use the lap timing. Or at least a way around the problems. Still existing is a hardware fault in the sector and lap timing comparison to the best lap/sector time. You always get a "+" even if you drive massively faster than in any...

Problem fixed. It was my fault :( as I hadn't put the formula in to convert the default units into kmh. This is necessary with the different screens but not with the permanent speed display.

Thanks again, Jeremy! You and Al seem to be monitoring the forum more closely than RT. I had at least two telephones with RT last week but Martin in on holiday in Spain and no one else can answer the questions re. hardware. Sometimes you get a fix easier via the forum as the users are using the prod...

jlucas, thanks for your answer. The marker file remains resident in the Dash2 as when you cut off the power and repower the file is still there while the CF-card in the DL1 has no marker file to send to the Dash2 or even no CF card present. Files were from the same track. Removing the files from CF ...

Thanks for the answer, but the software used is 6.3.101. I could imagine that a VERY large number of the Dash2s sold are not working to specification or even worse not installed to a vehicle. Otherwise those problems would have been reported earlier. I can't imagine that other dealers/users have tes...

Dash2 - Different speed readout

When choosing speed to display in one of the display screens of Dash2 the readout of the speed in the specific display (for instance display no. 3) is different to the speed displayed permanently in the upper part of the Dash2. There was GPS-speed chosen in the setup of the Dash2 and no other speed ...

Marker-files - How to remove those from Dash2?

We have a lot of difficulties with the Dash2. After several testing sessions we found no way to load a MARKER01.LAP file into the Dash2 when there was a manually set lap marker and sector marker already present. If I understand the manual correctly all markers are in one file and not every marker in...

SRx = Serial Data in
STx = Serial Data out

Stat = Logging status
Trig =Trigger (Start/Stop logging)
Lap = Lap Marker
rL = 5V RPM input
rG = high voltge RPM ground
rH = high voltage RPM input

Hope this is correct.

Due to variations in satellite positions obviously antenna location can only be optimised by using several DL1s and antennas at the same time. My pocket PC based navigation system with bluetooth GPS "mouse" receives more satellites than the DL1. Some SIRF3 receivers promise to work even in...

Thanks for the info. If you get a chance to update it later with data from the same part of the day (back to back, if possible) that will help us understand the placement effect even better. Note: this doesn't have to be done only a track event. If it's a street car, it can be done just driving aro...
