jlucas, You are right, I thought that because he was reading the correct values in the Dash2 they had been directly wired into it. jacko996 If the Dash2 is correctly reading the AFR then all you have to do is enter the same custom formula you used in the Dash2 setup in the DL1 custom formula area fo...

Jacko996,

If you are getting the readings on the Dash2 then you can bring them directly into the DL1 using the (already) installed serial cable. DL1 analog inputs 17 to 20 correspond to Dash2 analog inputs 1 to 4. Just use the same formula for AFR that you used in the Dash2.

You will also have to enter the relevant formula for each device into its particular analog input channel. the EGT is supplied under the 'Standard' sensors (Thermocouple), but you will have to enter the AFR formula yourself. http://img218.imageshack.us/img218/4695/dl1analoginputsetupsv8.jpg

Since the car has stood for so long you might have some corrosion on the earthing points. You have also had the engine and gearbox out so try disconnecting all the earth wires, clean everything and then reattach. You can also do the same for the +12V as well.

I have had the GPS antenna problem as well. Mine was solved by replacing the antenna (the wire was 'kinked' where it passed past the door rubber). I changed mine for a roof mount type (had to drill a hole in the race car roof) and it not only looks better (no wire going to the antenna across the roo...

I have had so many problems with the auto start and stop logging function on the DL1 that my driver now manually starts and stops it himself. I have firmware revision 13 so it's the latest level. Create a new SETUP.BIN that disables auto start/stop. Put onto formatted CF card, and insert into the DL...

Ford Fiesta ST150 (mark 6) - What type of interface?

I am thinking of building a Ford Fiesta ST150 race car and want to know what type of interface it uses (CAN OBD or Serial OBD).

Does RT already have an interface for this car?

Here are two wiring diagrams. The top one assumes a 2-wire fuel sender and the bottom one a 1-wire sender (the second wire is chassis). I used a 15 ohm resitor as my sender has a 15 ohm maximum resistance. You might try a 71 ohm resistor. I used a 5 watt rated resistor to be safe. http://img373.imag...

Rabra, Start by reading this post. m If you only have the Dash2 then you will have to find a reference voltage as the battery/alternator voltage is to variable for this purpose. You can buy a +5v reference source from R-T or from any good electronics shop. Once you have connected the divider circuit...

UPDATE: I created a new user on my notebook, voila the Config program works better now. Still no option to "leave blank" though and the "other" tab is still greyed out so I can't set display times. All the parameters can now be loaded to the Dash2, but I still have a strange prob...

Hi,

Am I missing something here? The DL1 already provides a "Log Status" output. All that is needed is to connect a diode or relay to this to show whether logging is happening or not. See the help file - Hardware - DL1 - How do I? - connect a logging indicator.
