Slight follow-up on this, for others who might be wishing to do this... I had to try a few different ways to get this to work as intended. Displaying the bitmap certainly worked great, exactly as described above. However in testing, I found an interesting point... the bitmap, being black and white, ...

Dash3 config - show bitmap with channel??
Question to make sure (before I need it, hope to never see it) I have a bitmap configured correctly. Since the stock text is pretty hard to read, I have created a bitmap to use as an oil pressure warning that says "OIL" in very large, much more legible type - takes up the whole screen. I h...

We've had problems if we have both a setup and dash file on the same card at once. Typically we'll first load a setup file, wipe it from the card, then load the dash.hex... but then also wipe that from the card and just run a clean formatted card for the weekend. I prefer to leave the dash file off ...

FYI - i'm running into a saturation problem at ~100 mph or so. My M8 bolt head isn't big enough. The head passes before it can activate the hall sensor (cherry, not a R-T sensor) Need to machine a bigger target for the sensors to pick up reliably above 100 or so. Ack, that sucks. How many pulses pe...

I'm running a VDO 10bar sender for the oil pressure, came up with the following cal with the standard pull-up resistor (think it's 1kOhm, whatever's shown in the instructions on the website): 3.81 * x^3 + 2.95 * x^2 + 9.09 * x - 0.38 That should pretty much drop in copy/paste into the variable edito...

Dash 4 locking up after reflash?
Anyone else having a problem with the Dash4 locking up after a reflash/reconfig? Latest iteration, we've re-loaded the firmware, get "invalid config", then load up a valid (previously used to good effect) dash config, get "reprog success" just fine, dash restarts, but NEVER clear...

I'm with osborni - I get my senders from egauges.com (actually not too far from me). I tend to prefer the VDO senders, based on my success (durability) with them in my Porsche (OEM fitment). Likewise, yes, for adapters, local HW store if brass is OK, or either Pegasus or even McMaster-Carr for light...
