flatshift, I have a beater Honda Civic that I use as a daily driver. Here's a link to a schematic of the fuel circuit. m Think of the fuel gauge as a resistor and the fuel sender as a resistive potentiometer. Point A will have 12V on it, Point B will be someplace between 12V and 0 depending on the r...

Current Draw
Just a reminder, using 15 ohms at 1 BAR you have a current draw of 116mA. According to the technical specs for the DL-1 the 5V output is only good for 100mA.

Autocross/Drag Race
This must be possible. I know people use the DL1 for autocross which is similar to drag racing in terms of a separate start/finish lines and no laps.

To what end
It sounds like what osborni is getting at is that the actual number of degrees of oversteer/understeer isn't really important. What is important is do you need to make a change to the car's suspension to make you faster or do you need to make a driving change to make the car faster.

Equation Question
I'm looking at the equation for steering needed. I'm assuming that 2.301 is your wheelbase (in meters), is that right?

Conversions
I think what Tristan is getting at is that for a lot of variables you can choose the units in that are used by the software. I personally haven't looked at this (I don't have a temp or a pressure sensor in my setup). Mac, I'm assuming you are talking about the Chicago Auto show? I've been there most...

Conversion
To convert Bar to PSI, you multiply the BAR by 14.503. The equation in Bar is (x - 0.5) / 4 * 10 So you (x - 0.5) / 4 * 145.03 to get PSI To convert C to F, you multiply the C by 1.8 and add 32. I didn't find the equation for the temp sensor in the Help, so you will have to do the conversion yoursel...

I started using a DL-1 with my FF this year. While my RPM traces are noisy, they are there and they match the speed trace when properly scaled. I am using the P-clip on the #1 cylinder lead, no foil. I'm also running a Petronix unit in the distributor as opposed to points. I have results from one we...

Looking at the ECU schematic I would expect tapping into the throttle signal + on pins(56 and 47) would be a trial and error process. I would first look at the voltage on that wire from 56 to 47 while varying the throttle. What is the peak, what is min? If it is in range than you may be able to conn...

If you had a problem with the tire size it would show up in 4/5 gear because these ratios are closer to each other than any other pair of gears. When I was doing my initial analysis of gear #, I found that my calculated tire diameter was about 5% larger than the empirical value I got when looking at...

The complete function list is shown here... m I don't see a range function listed and of course there are significantly less functions available than exist in excel. You can also calculate something procedurally, though those functions take longer to process. You could always export data into excel ...
