Re: DL1 Not running with SD card installed

Okay, yes in that case I agree, the fault seems to be present in the DL1 MK2. Most likely issue in this case is with the CF card socket. Can you please just check that the pins inside the CF card slot are not bent or touching the other pins in any way. If they seem okay we will have to open the unit...

Re: DL1 Not running with SD card installed

Hi there,

What version of DL1 data logger do you have?

From the information you provided, it sounds like the memory cards are at fault. If possible it would be good if a brand new card, formatted correctly and of correct memory size was used to test this.

Re: DL1 Sport / Dash 2 Display live data on PC

Hi Bill, You will be able to see the 8 DL1 & 4 DASH2 analogue inputs on the live monitor software at the same time. You require a null modem cable, you might also need a USB to serial adaptor for connecting the null modem to the computer. Look for analogue channels 17 - 20, these will be the ana...

Re: Fuel level pull up resistor.

Hello, The pull up resistor is implimented to create a potential divider circuit. This converts the resistance output of the sender to voltage, this is what the DASH2PRO expects to see on its analogue inputs. With a 100ohm resistor attached you should get around 1.875V, firstly I would configure the...

Re: Oil Pressure Readout

Hello,

Would you be able to send me the following:

* Map file from the DTA S40
* Configuration file from the DASH2
* Information on when and where the DASH2 was purchased

Send them to: daniel@race-technology.com

I'll take a look and contact you shortly.

Re: eliminating DASH 3 alarms

Hello Matt,

Have you tried setting the low alarm value lower than 0?

For example set it to: -1000, this should prevent the alarm from triggering.

Kind regards,

Re: Track Markers - automatically load?

Hello Doug, At this point in time that is not a feature implimented into the analysis v8.5 software. For now if you load in a run file you have to load the marker file(s) used at that particular track. I asked one of the directors of RT, he said that sounded like an interesting feature so it could b...

Re: Sensor scaling

Hi, Yes that should be suitable. For the conections on the 5V side, look in the link below for the correct connections. (So instead of using the 5V ref out from the dash you'll be using the 5V ref out from the regulator, the GND from the regulator needs connecting to one of the GND's on the dash.) m...

Re: Sensor scaling

Hello, So based on the readings you've collected from the sender, you can use the 100 ohm resistor however it would be best if you use an external 5V regulator, instead of the DASH2's 5v ref. The DASH2 5V ref is rated for 50mA current draw, connecting this sender to the dash would be get close to th...

Re: Dash 2 pro Honda Civic type r ep3

Hello, To fix the rev counter you need to adjust the pulses per revolution, this can be found in the wheel speed and RPM section of the configuration software. As for the static limiter and gear indicator, can you send me the configuration file installed on the dash currently? I'll inspect the confi...

Re: Monitoring Video4 voltage (is it lower than DL1 voltage ?)

Hi Jimmy, The issue you are seeing is very unlikely to be a lack of voltage issue, if the voltage was too low the unit would completely switch off not just one of the cameras. Have you got any other cameras conencted to the VIDEO4? (If so do they work?) Has the camera (rear SD camera) ever worked co...

Re: change reading from bar to psi ?

Hello, Yes this is possible, follow the instructions below: Open the DASH2 config software > load in the current config file installed on the dash > use the drop down box at the top of the input scaling tab to select the analogue input you have the sensor connected to (i.e. DASH2 Analogue 1 - DASH2 ...
