Wow, firmware update for Dash3? That'd be very cool, would like to keep appraised... That said... I originally set mine up to do similar... but I've found it to be a bit less useful than expected. My primary problem is that the LCD screen of the Dash3 is too hard to read in an open-top car (sports p...

Not sure about the Autometer temp sender, but the VDO senders I'm using are exponential/logarithmic in their output (per the mfgr). Same wiring setup, I suspect, with 1000Ohm resistor. When I tried to use the Analysis SW to create a mapping, the accuracy was very poor, since it was only trying to do...

Sorry... HTH = Hope That Helps! ;)

I have logged rear bellcrank angle, so far only at default rate, looks to be 100Hz. I probably ought to bump that up once I figure out what I'm doing...

I have only the DL1 Mk2, so can't expect to get 1kHz rates, don't believe it goes that high...

I'm doing this; I'm using Ford TPS sensors (eg, 5.0L V8 application) on my rear bellcranks. Since those are certainly less than 90 deg total movement, it works fine. I did have one crap out and give untrustworthy readings, but the other was good; I've swapped out the former and will retry. Haven't d...

If I have the default config loaded correctly, the variable shown there is "time into lap" - which would definitely not meet your expectations! Same deal for sector.

So yeah, I'd suggest trying them as last or current lap/sector time...

Ah, Ok... then probably the issue should be which variable is displayed?

Are you showing "last lap time" or "current lap time"?

I've never seen any problems with the car moving in the slot... and my racecar is a step or two beyond a Radical (with respect to speed and harshness in-cockpit)... It is conceivable that you might have a ground or power wire that wiggles loose at speed though. I assume this isn't a problem you can ...

If you've had multiple iterations of power-off while logging, odds are your memory card is pretty messed up. I'd recommend reformatting it, then try logging again.

Sounds correct/normal. The lap or sector time screen will be displayed for a specified time after passing that gate; usually it's not that long of a time, say 3-5s by default IIRC. You can increase the display time... but if you have a lot of sectors, you'll just keep getting new ones over top of th...

Yeah, you MUST stop logging before killing power.

If you don't... you will corrupt the card, and must reformat it before using it again.

Maybe that makes more sense now...

Suggestion - have you checked the cal on the sensor? You should be able to use a mighty-vac, with some creative matching of fittings etc, to apply at least that much pressure/vacuum... At least to get a sanity check, which seems to be what you're after. Are you logging CAN signals from the ECU as we...

Oh, wait, so if I understand correctly, you're not saying that the currently-available off-the-shelf ECU or CAN interfaces will work with the correct config, rather that we'll need to make our own interfaces to convert K-line to serial messages?

OK, have investigated the display screens function... looks like it could be quite useful, especially as I don't actually use all 4 screens much. Unfortunately, there is still the apparent limitation in the software that only one variable can be used to toggle display screens... for example, I can't...
