Switch works well. You can also wire in a logging status light.

Assuming the navigator has a pre-start workflow to get the TSD computer up and running as well as other tasks, you can make logging start/stop a part of that process.

That's what I do on a mk2. The mk3 has input voltage range of 0-25vdc. You'll be fine.

Don't know my firmware rev, but it's about a year old or so. It's on page 20 of the PDF manual for the Dash2. m m IIRC, you tell the Dash where to put the information Left/Center/Right. I don't clearly recall, but it may need to be hooked up to a DL1. At least there was something context sensitive t...

There is an slip (over/under) for sector and lap for the Dash2 - it's in the menu setup options.

I potted a LM19 temperature sensor into a VDO brass case for temp sensors. The LM19 is ~$1 each at Digikey and the VDO sensor is ~$9 or so. Use a torch to melt out the guts then use a high metal content epoxy to glue the sensor in the bottom of the brass case. I used stiff heat shrink to provide som...

I have a DL1mk2 and load configs and flashes to the Dash2 through the DL1's CF card. I've used serial direct to the Dash2, but only when I first received it to load the initial config in and to a flash update. Took longer to figure out the cable and comm ports then to do the value added work. Don't ...

I use eguages.com or Pegasus Racing for fittings - or my local hardware store. Pegasus racing has a pretty extensive catalog of fittings, including Brit Standard stuff.

That's for US sellers - where are you?

I use photobucket to load up pics then use the "Img" button to link the hyperlink.

Much faster to load configs through the DL1 then the serial port....
