The daft thing is when you try to name a user defined variable as 'Gear' it states the name is already in use - but it does not exist!

I have since created my own gear channel.

I got a reply from support -

Basically you need firmware V20 then it works fine; I've managed to correct my offset now.

you are turning the DL1 off and then back on again whilst it is connected to hperterminal?

I have an offset of 0.2g on the lateral accelerometer and have tried to follow the instructions in the knowledge base.

However when Hyperterminal connects I don't get the message of 'C @ Racetechnology etc' but get a series of numbers:

'38293'

I am unable to go any further?

What is the latest firmware for a MK2 DL1?

just save the config file to a flash card and update through the DL1

It does not appear in the variable tree to enable it though!

The latest version of analysis software has no gear variable in standard variables - where has it gone - it was useful!!

what are the new headings - simulated and simulated delta? How do these work?

Haven't purchased one yet but I need to know if the RPM shift lights can be set to read the RPM from a DL1 Logger - ie no pulses per rpm as the Logger is reading the rpm from the 5v ECU output.
