PDF of Manuals

Postby Jimster » Mon Aug 11, 2008 11:20 am

I know you can download individual pages of the manuals as PDF's, but I'd like a PDF containing the whole manual so I can take to race meetings.

Looking for DL1 and Dash2

can anyone help?

Hi,
Are you looking for the hardware operating manual or the software manual?

Regards,
Martin

I have a .pdf operating manual for the DASH2 and the quick start guide for the DL1 which I will glady send to anybody who asks for it.
We are currently working on manuals which are generated as .pdf files directly from the knowledge base, but this is taking time to implement.
If anybody wants these two files, please email me mhill at race-technology.com

Martin

Hello Support.

Please send me a pdf of the Dash2 and DL1 manual.
Why isn't this in the download section?

Manuals

Why is there still no manual after a year? The Wiki stuff is nice, but sometimes I don't have access and just want to sit down with a hard copy...

TIA

I was searching around the on-line wiki this morning and noticed its is very slow changing between pages as it seems to have to reload the entire index "tree" on the left hand side each time... In the end I used the local "help" wiki which was more or less instant (though possibly out of date).

Manuals in pdf

I'll agree - I think the lack of down-loadable pdf manuals is the single biggest issue I have with Race Technology.

The 'manuals' are available in PDF form here : http://www.race-technology.com/user_man ... 30650.html

But I suspect you are refering to the knowledge base sections?

Is there a manual for the Analysis software?

JustinHomi - I'm with you. I think the most glaring deficiency of Race Technology is the lack of the *.pdf manuals for the software, Analysis in particular.
Note, I don't think either of us is asking for a printed copy, just the downloadable *.pdf that may be the collection of all the Knowledge Base pages.

Granted it fixes a point in time documentation that is changing constantly, but then again so does the local copy of the documentation.

The difference is the whole thing is readily browse able. The windows help system style is the most god awful thing ever devised. I suspect M$ did so just to help create a market for their publishing division.

That brings up yet another point. I've brought multiple books on Race Daq. I'd also be willing to *pay* for a printed copy. At the same time, I don't think it is necessary - but the full reference *.pdfs are.

Dave
