i just received this morning a serial adapter (usb/serial) from RT.
But I can't connect to DASH3 with the software ...
always the same message "system can't detect the sequence"...
the help file says "connect to serial port on PC and power on the device"
but how can you power on the dash3 when it is connected to your serial adaptateur ????
I work with Vista.

Connecting the DASH3 to a PC will require a special serial cable w/ 12V input leads to power the DASH3. RT can sell you one.

But - I find it much more convenient to configure or reflash the DASH3 via the DL1, so I never use the special lead even though I have some!
