Acquire Time stamp

Postby Jan » Sat Jan 14, 2006 3:14 pm

Hi,

It would be very handy if it was possible to get a time stamp when starting to log data. I use other data collection devises and when synchronising the two files, if I do not turn on the DL2 at exactly the same time. It is hard to match up the two sets of data.

The initial time stamp could be taken from the GPS. To save memory only the first time stamp would be needed. After that the time could be calculated as required ??

I see you have GPS time in sec. Could that be used ? Does that count in sec from 00:00:00 (midnight) ?? Does not look that way due to the large number

We have a number of customers using the "GPS time of week" this is **very** accuracte on the DL2. This is standard GPS time, for a full explanation of GPS time try google but basically is it 14 seconds different from UTC time.

Thanks
