Run files and folders always end with a period

My run files never have an extension, they always end in a period. The folders also end with a period... The run files do load and work fine so I've been working around it.

Is this maybe related to my CF card or it's formatting? It's a 1GB card and I made sure to format it as FAT 16.

Just a thought but do you have the option "Hide Extensions for known file types" checked? (Explorer -> Tools -> Folder Options -> View)

No unfortunately that's not it. I can see the extensions when I add them manually. And this wouldn't explain my folders also ending in a period...

It's unlikely to be a card formatting issue. Do you know which version of the firmware you are using?
Run the DL1 configuration utility and set the file name in there, this should reset the names. If you are still having a problem, I would recommend reflashing the DL1 with the latest firmware and see if that helps.
