DL1 lock up during run

I often find that me DL1 has stopped midway through a run, the indicator LED show still logging but it will not respond to a stop logging request, the file on the CF card is corrupted. This normally happens on the run with my best lap of the day !
The DL1 is wired direct into the car 12v, any ideas how to cure it

Four possibilities:

Intermittant DL1 fault
CF card issues
Corrupt DL1 firmware
Noisy 12V power

I'd reflash the DL1 (email or post what vintage DL1 you have) and get a new CF card for starters.

If you have recent firmware on the DL1, the stoppage reason will show up under Run Manager, but that won't work if the file is corrupt.

Of all those, the CF card is probably the most likely issue. In the US I recommend SanDisk and Lexar CF cards, probably best to open a support ticket and find out what RTUK recommend over there.

The DL1 is about 18months old, Serial on front.
I dont think the 12V is particulary bad, have another data logger running with out problems.
Have used 3 different CF cards, most recently an industrial spec card for high reliabilty applications, same with all 3 cards.
