Logging OBD-II?

Is it possible to log OBD-II (ISO) on the DL1?

There will be an ODBii adapter made available very soon, this will be followed up for data adapters for a number of other aftermarket ECUs eg Motec, Gems etc

It looks like RT support don't reply on here very often anymore

They may of course prefer to reply to people directly via email

Last post by "Support" was 6th march, last post by "Hardware Support" was 8th March...

To be fair they do respond, and often very quickly, to emails. I guess the forum is more for the sorts of things that other users might well be able to respond to. (That is, it gives you a nice warm fuzzy feeling...

)

I sent a "help, I'm screwed" message to the support chaps at 1am on Sunday. I had a reply back by 10am. I can hardly argue about that.

Hi from RTUSA:

The "Support" guys are also the "Design" guys and have asked me to help out on this forum while they concentrate on getting out all this cool new stuff that's in the works.

OBDII is in the works for sure, but I think that it may still be a few months from release. I think that qualifies as "soon" in the overall scheme of things but may not feel like it while you wait!

Still "in the works" but delayed by the logjam of product releases in front of it. Probably realistically "a few months" is accurate at this point.

We do recognize the importance of this facility to our users and it remains a priority.

Given the backlog, and the fact these projects are now spanning the better part of the race season, are there any plans to expedite this? Can we hire someone outside of RT to write them? I would happily pay $50 get this DONE. I am sure that there are others who would as well.

Does anyone have one that works that they would be willing to sell to me? How about one for a TEC2?

Simple answer is "not yet".

I do not yet have a realistic timetable on this but hope to in about 10 days.

Being worked on right now. Turned out to be a much larger task than anticipated, but is in progress, in fact that's what I'm working on this morning. Don't have a release date yet, though.

We are working with a "large" car manufacturer on this, so it is happening, but I can't promise a date at this point.
