Dash2 Configuration

Postby Muda » Mon Jan 12, 2009 3:51 pm

My setup is a DL-1 (mk1-latest firmware) and a Dash2. I've owned the DL-1 for years. Got as far as the warning on the v7 configuration software. My new Dash2 has a tag on the case marked July, 2007. However, when I power on with the "down" button made (brown and white wires touching) to try to determine the firmware version, all of the shift lights blink rapidly and the version is not shown. Am I doing something wrong?

At this point I will only be looking for the Dash2 to show RPM, shift light, lap times, predictive lap times and oil pressure (from an SPA sensor). Can I set this up with the V6 configuration software or should I flash the Dash2 so that I can use the v7 software. Is there any real advantage to the v7 configuration software for my limited application?

I don't think the firmware will be displayed unless you are running at least version 9 of the firmware.

I could be wrong though

I had the exact same problem this weekend. So I reflashed with the latest firmware and now all is fine.

I submitted a support request through the web site and received a reply within a day. Probably the best way to go with that.

That doesn't seem like a great investment... I'm sure we can get you up and running in no time.

Are you still after the latest firmware or is that done now? Either way the quickest way is to email (andrew@race... ) with some more information on whats-what and I'll pass it on, also please include you telephone number.

Kind regards,

Andy

Thanks for reply

I pressume its already upto date software as only purchased it last week from Nottingham, not got emailed any new software if it is not

At the moment I only have 12v and 0v connected the 4 menu buttons and the serial leads on a DL1 and dash2 to a Autronic smc ecu, cant seem to get any readings from the ecu either?

Will try emailing above

Hi Adam,

I've picked this up from the other thread and I've asked Martin our Hardware expert to answer it there... so keep an eye on the other thread please!

Kind regards,

Andy
