DL1 Runfile on Compact flash corrupted by RPM signal

While trying out the RPM connection the Run files on the Compact flash card became unreadable, locked by other application or corrupt,
shortening the pickup cable on the helped, also changing to resistor spark plug

The installation consists of the RT rpm pickup cable connected to a custom wire harness for the last 80mm
What are the best tricks to avoid this problem?

I'm not sure there is much more I can think of to add to that, but if you want to tell me where and what you are connecting to I might be able to suggest something. A photo might be helpful!
