Noooobie With Questions

Postby tony100 » Mon Nov 07, 2011 11:37 am

Hiya guys ive reacently bought a 106 with one of your DASH2 Dials fitted in the car cut a long storie short heres the run down

Bought a 106 maxi shell with the dash fitted

had a standad engine put in for naw to get it running and setup the car etc etc

Naw here where i get confused

I wanna set the level in my fuel tank.

Its using the OEM standad fuel pump/sender for naw untill i can afford better

HAs anyone got like a step by step guide on how to calibirate the fuel level its currently displaying 14........ which as far as i can see is correct..!! BUT

when i orignally tried starting the car with 10 liters of fuel it didnt fire ( not enough fuel for the pick up to pick up ( of you get me) so i put an extra 5 litre's in and she fired.

Is there a way i can caliberate the dash to say when i have '14' litre's of fuel in the tank i really only have '5' before it runs out?

Get me?

Here:

(aside: the knowledge base is quite good, I'd muck around there a bit to learn)

There are a few posts on this forum available for search.

It's basically a DIY job and requires that you have at least a basic understanding of electronics and wiring. Helpful if you know the basics of Ohm's law.

Tony. I also run a 106 with the DL1/Dash2 setup and have calibrated my dash for using the standard VDO fuel gauge.

Drop me a PM if you still need assistance.

Cheers

Ross
