Video 4 not recording RUN/GPS data (or is it ?)

Postby nikpro » Thu May 23, 2013 5:32 pm

We are still having problems with our VIDEO4/DASH4PRO setup.

The unit appears to be recording RUN data (file size does 'grow'), but nothing appears in the Analysis software. The video works fine though.

We have reflashed the firmware on the VIDEO4 unit and the DASH4PRO has been back to RT for other issues (now working OK).

The unit should have the internal GPS/Accelerometers present, but it really doesn't look like GPS is working properly or is not configured.

The DIAG.TXT file is listed below (note the line that says "Internal GPS NOT available" ?????). A previous version of DIAG.TXT (which we backed up before doing the firmware, etc.) states "Internal GPS available". The LICENSE.BIN file is a different file size as well.

Have we screwed something up in doing the firmware upgrade. How do we resurrect the internal GPS, etc. to get this working.

Any help appreciated - thanks. Fraser

Morning!

Yes - that's an easy one, you've lost your license for internal GPS when you reflashed the firmware. Just email Lorne directly us at Lorne@race-*****.com and he will sort you the file out. Put that on the CF card and you are back in business. Note that you will have to cycle the V4 power before it takes effect.

Kind regards,

RT support (andy)
