Command timeout, HELP!!!

Postby timhoverd » Mon May 11, 2015 9:47 pm

So, I bought a new DL1 Club and that worked fine with my existing Dash4.

I've just updated the Dash4 firmware only to find that the ability to use the Dash buttons to control the logger, e.g. to start logging, no longer works. I get a "Command timeout" message on the dash screen.

The logger has:

Hardware version: 1
Bootloader version: 1.0.13
Main application version: 4.5.24
Configuration version: 5.0.31

And the Dash has:

Bootloader: 3.3.0
Firmware: 5.0.30

Any ideas, this is driving me to distraction?

Does it still come up with "Request to Start Logging" before the timeout?

It's not uncommon to get the odd one of these but usually a re-press sorts it out.

You could try re-assigning the button again, certainly if you don't see the "request to start logging" message but I'd do it anyway.

Yes.

Turns out that it's a problem with the posted firmware being incompatible. They're apparently sorting it...

I just posted a similar issue with a DL1 MK3/CLUB and a DASH3.

In your case do you know is it the DL1 firmware or the DASH4 firmware that is going to be updated ?

I believe the former.

I just updated by DASH3 firmware from 1.40.2 to 1.40.9 and it looks to have fixed my problem.

Hmm, interesting. The DL1/Dash4 software on the website is still unchanged...
