Gear position from DTA ECU CAN stream

Postby raceralexuk » Thu Sep 22, 2016 10:37 am

Hello,

I would like my Dash2 to display gear position using the gear position sensor which is wired to my DTA S80 ECU.
Is it possible to feed this data to the Dash2 via the CAN stream?

I've established that the ECU will send gear position data to the CAN adapter;

S Series CAN Stream Specification

Hi There,

yes it is possible, however currently on the standard DASH2 it is not possible to have this displayed on the main gear indicator, it will only be possible to display this on one of the three configurable data areas.

We are adding the ability to do this on an upcoming version of firmware.

I can provide you with a new CAN adaptor configuration file that will include the gear position channel. Please send an email to sam@race-technology.com and I will send you the correct file, complete with instructions on how to load to the CAN adaptor.

Kind Regards,
