Filename restriction?

Postby Mr Muscle » Mon Jan 15, 2007 11:44 pm

Is it normal operation that once the DL-1 gets up to "RUN___99.RUN" in a folder on the flashcard it stops recording and you have to format the card to start logging on it again?

Yes, that is normal, it will automatically sequence 99 filenames in a directory. I do not think that it will "stop recording", but it will not be able to start recording a 100th file.

Very few users log 100 runs in a day - but one way to avoid reformatting the card would be to rename that directory in a PC, the DL1 will create another directory and carry on.

Hope that helps...

I suppose it is possible, although that would mean 99 runs in a 24hr period which is quite a few. What type of runs are you recording? Is it possible to swap out cards half way through your day?

If you are using auto start maybe there is something you can change to limit the number of non-critical runs?
