"email sent"

I've recently noticed a lot of "email sent" replies to questions - IMHO this is not a very good way of providing information to an open forum.

I, and I presume many others, sometimes search for answers on here and would like to see the solution, rather than a generic "email sent" response which is less than helpful and could be misinterpreted by those with a suspicious mind (not me!)

ps I don't want replies by email ;)

Ha Ha....

Anyway, as I explained to Turby in my super secret offline email, the recent flurry of "email sent" answers is a result of a forum cleanup (both answering old / missed queries, and recording when emails actually were sent) and not a new policy of answering a high percentage of forum posts offline.
