Where to buy DL1 aux connectors?

Postby Applejack » Mon Apr 30, 2007 3:06 pm

I'm looking to buy a couple extra connectors to make installing the DL1 easier in multiple cars.

The connector I'm looking for is the one that the power, aux channels, etc plug into that then plugs into the back of the DL1.

Is this available from R-T? Is it standard connector available in the aftermarket?

Hi Jason:

These are available from Race Technology, we have them in stock.

The older DL1s have a pair of single row connectors, the newest DL1s have a single multi row connector, so you will need to let us know which type is required.

I'm assuming you are in the US from your sig, so give me a call at 804 358-7289.

Thanks, I'll probably call today.

I have a brand spanking new DL1 with the single connector with two rows of pins.

What are the other differences between "old"and "new" DL1's ? The technical spec PDF and all images of the DL1 show the "old" style DL1...

Based on these differences, is it worth upgrading to the "new" style DL1 and is this an upgrade option ?

The latest DL1s differ from the previous in these regards:

Single rear connector
Serial port on rear
8 vs 7 user accessible analog inputs, all 12V vs mix of 5 and 12

Detail internal revisions

For the vast majority of motorsports users, an upgrade to the current spec would not be warranted.

Detail revisions to marketing materials are underway.
