DL1 Troubles

have tried to reflash. Keep getting same answer: "The Device Not Responding Correctly, Please check It It Connected Correctly"....

Checked Port it says it's working properly...

First, are you using the reflash utility from a fairly recent Analysis installation? Until mid 2006 the utility was very hard to use, the timing of powering up the DL1 was quite critical. The newer utility is quite easy. Analysis can be downloaded from the Software section of our website.

Second, are you using the supplied serial cable? If not, any null modem cable will work, please note that there are at least 3 kinds of serial cables available.

Third, does your PC have a serial port or are you using a USB adapter? Those usually get a highish port number (mine is on 5)

(1) tried two different null modem cables - usb to serial - port was 4 -xp Laptop. Serial to serial - port ?? xp PC. Old laptop 2000 serial to serial - same results... I'm using version 6 software even tried old version... I'd try My other unit but that one is working and I don't want anything to happen to it..

Version 6 Analysis software has been around for a while now, certainly before the change to the reflash utility. If you haven't updated Analysis since mid last year you probably have a reflash utility that is VERY hard to use.

Another idea - if you do have another functioning DL1 you can verify serial port and cable > DL1 compatibility by connecting the good DL1 and using the DL1 monitor utility. If the monitor reads data everything in the chain is OK.

I Think I'm using latest versions of software ?
