DL1 reflash - file select issue

When I run the DL1 reflash utility, and it's asking me to choose a file, it will not accept any choice I make.

I just stays on that file selection screen.

Even hitting cancel has the same result.

The HEX file I downloaded is named DL1V6.HEX and begins with:
DL1 code with GSM not automatically enabled

:0C06000091EF0EF0D4EF0EF080EF0BF045
:100700000D284329205261636520546563686E6F2C

and ends with:
:10F1D000EECF39F084EC26F0182EFAD70D0E73EC32
:08F1E00026F03B2EF3D71200CC

After quite a bit of hassle, I finally got it to flash.

The reflash utility doesn't like my desktop. I managed to borrow a laptop and it worked from that machine.

It's worth noting that my desktop runs the monitor software without issue and its serial port has always worked with other applications.

Glad you got it working... serial ports are very frustrating, particularly on newer machines that don't implement them properly. In the office we normally use USB->serial adapters.

The laptop is newer than the desktop. Both are Dell. Both are box stock. The desktop is a 4150 (two years old or so).

It has always worked fine with other apps that use the serial port, such as: The reflash for my racing radios, the programming for my home theater remote, reflash Garmin GPS, etc. Also, it worked fine with you monitor software.

Please see my other more pressing issues with the Dash1 in the bug section.
