DL1 Dash2 and Emerald ECU.

I'm still interested in getting the serial link with the dl1 working with the emerald ecu (not the k3 version)

can this be done?

Also can you log the ECU data on the DL1 and view on the software.

I was told that Karl at emerald didn't want to spend time on the old m3dk system as it was working with the K3.

I have since replaced my ECU with a K3, but still not got around to buying the interface kit

Worked out how to set up the ECU varibles on the software, but still cant get the DL1 to log the ECU data or pass the data to the Dash2

I've spoken to RT, and it look like you have to plug the ECT interface into the PC lead, not direct to the unit.

Will try tonight and post my findings.

Good news its all now working.
Well if you have the DL1 and Dash2 connected to the Emerald via the Emerald PC cable.

The Dash2 is still not working standalone with the Emerald.

Also would have been handy to either put you need to use the Emerald lead in the manual or wire the correct pins in the 9 pin ECU end. (I know if they did this you would not be able to flash update via the PC with out a special converter.)

It's with the RT ECU interface, but you also have to use the PC cable that you get with the EMERALD, unless you convert the RT DB9 connector to use EMERALD pin out not stand serial ones.

Also its the M3dk ECU.

Any news on this? Can the Emerald K3 CAN-communication be used with the Race Technology CAN-adapter? I'm well aware of that there's a serial adapter available, but in this case I'm only interested in CAN.

Speaking to Karl at emerald it can be done, I've now got the CAN adapter but not acutally got around to trying it yet.

Thought I could leave some feedback. Yesterday I got my Emerald K3 to communicate with my DL1/Dash3-combo through the CAN-interface. Worked very well on the kitchen table

Next step is to implement the installation in the car...
