Wiring RPM to Dash2 and DL1

I currently have my Dash2 and DL1 both wired to the RPM output of my ECU. I did it this way so that if either unit failed, the other will still have an RPM signal. Will running RPM to both units simultaneously cause any issues?

Its recommended that the DASH2 is set up to receive only 1 rpm signal, either from the RS232 or from a direct connection. Having two active RPM connections can cause problems, you can how ever leave both connected and simply set up the DASH2 so it reads from one source, then if you experience a failure in RPM you can switch to the other one.
