Possible to have two displays?

Postby manwithsupra » Sat Jul 21, 2012 9:34 am

Hi All,

I currently have a DL1 mk2 and a Dash2 display running a Syvecs S6 ECU.
I just wanted to know if it is possible to have two displays off the DL1?

I find the Dash 2 a little hard to read and would rather something on the steering wheel like the OLED dash 4 pro, however I still need the Dash 2 as the track car is road legal.

If someone could help I would be most grateful.

Regards

You are in luck, we have a cable specially for this situation:

The only consideration is that although data will be displayed on both displays, only one unit can send command signals back to the data logger.

Thank you :)

How do you define which unit sends command signals?
Also as I am a bit of a newbie, can you give me a type of command signals are sent from the display to the DL1?

Hello,

Sorry you have been given incorrect information. You actually need a splitter cable. This item is currently not on the website but is the same price. Please call sales on the website number and ask for a splitter cable.

This will make one DASH the master and the other the slave. Only 1 DASH will be able to send command but both will receiver data. The cable looks the same as the y-cable but the connectors are labelled master, slave and DL1.

Kind regards,
Kieran

Start/stop logging and add lap marker can be sent from the DASH to the datalogger.

Kind regards,

Ah I see, thanks :)
Also even though the Dash2 will be the main unit and the Dash4pro will be the slave, will I still be able to change into the different screens on the Dash4?

Yes you will, as that is controlled directly on the DASH4PRO itself, so you can change screens, set alarms, etc on there.

The DASH splitter cable is available to purchase now. It is just not something that we have listed on the website as yet. It is priced at 25.00 GBP, plus 5.00 shipping (within the UK) + VAT.

Feel free to give me a call on 01773 537620, and I can make arrangements to send one out to you.

Thanks,

Debbie.

Just another quick question, Does the Dash 4Pro come with the steering wheel mount or is this extra?
