Speed mph set up help needed!

Hi all I have done the calculations as per rt
In meters

1609 / 1.78 = 903.9 x 48

That's based on 1609 meters to mile

Wheel circum 178cm

An reading off abs ring 48 teeth

Total is 43416

But can't enter anything over 12000 on dash!
Am I doing something wrong or is there a limit to the teeth which can be read?

There is a limit to the maximum number of pulses per mile. You have two realistic options. Pick up a signal from something else which has fewer pulses, such as a brake disk bolt, driveshaft / propshaft bolt, or us a pulse divider to reduce the pulse count of the signal you have.

I have now got the speedo working correctly but it reads fine upto say 10 mph but then reads 0mph at higher speeds??? Any ideas please?

It sounds like you either have too many pulses per km, or the length of the pulse is too short to trigger at higher speeds. Could you tell me what sensor you are using and what it is "pointing at" please.

I'm using the sensor you guys supplied with the led on it although this does not light up at all? An it reads of the back of the wheel studs. Four stud wheel.
