Brake Fluid switch

Postby paulexo » Sat Apr 18, 2020 11:42 am

I have a mk1 MX5 based kit car. Really struggling with my brake fluid level sensor. I have the handbrake setup which works perfectly but when I connect the Brake fluid wire it just constantly lights up on the dash no matter the position of the float.

The wire for brake fluid sensor has resistance of 640 with the float at its highest and 115 when its low.
I read that the Dash 2 is looking for 0v to activate the light but no idea how to achieve this since the standard setup uses some kind of resistance/transistor setup.

SORTED :D all I had to do was remove the resistor from the brake fluid sensor.
