Hall Effect + Other sensors wiring - Little Help / Advice

Postby David Evans » Thu Jan 17, 2008 11:53 pm

Hi there,

I have a DL2 data logger and want to basically wire in the following sensors properly:

http://www.farnell.com/datasheets/54442.pdf

Having a read of the knowledge base, am I right in thinking for the DL2 to read them properly, a 1kohm resistor on the output signal from the sensor before it gets back to the DL2?

This DL2 is going in a Formula SAE/Student race car, and ideally we want our ECU to read the signal from these hall effect sensors in the future. At the moment we just want to log the wheel speeds on the DL2, but what is my best option for getting the signal to the ECU and DL2? Which should it be grounded to?

Thank you very much in advance.
