RT Intake Pressure Sensor equation

I'm using a stock RT intake pressure sensor to record boost pressure as seen here:

http://www.race-technology.com/wiki/ind ... AndAmbient

In the software RT I'm using there is no intake pressure sensor in the dropdown of standard sensors and I can not work out how I am supposed to input:

Pressure [Bar] = (input - 0.5) / 4 * 2.3 + 0.2

I see the boxes I need to use when I select to use an equation, but I just don't see how this equation is entered. Can someone please explain what I put where? ta...

Type (input - 0.5) / 4 * 2.3 + 0.2 into the box, and replace "input" with "Varxxxx", where xxxx is the number (which can be found on the list on the right).

Should work.

If that's not enough detail (I don't know what you know or don't know) then reply again.

Thanks tristancliffe but I'm afraid I'm still having problems :? In fact, I've got nowhere.

When I do as you suggest, it saves nothing.
When I put (input - 0.5) / 4 * 2.3 + 0.2 in and save it, it saves as y= +0.542.
You say add the number from the list on the right - the dash1 config screen has the following on the right:
Max rate of change
Number of samples
Channel name
Channel abreviation
Channel units
Decimal places
None of these entered in the lower box of the 'Enter equation manually' screen as input or varXXXX does anything either than not save or just gives me y = +0.542

Any other ideas?

Just incase anyone else has similar problems with configuring this sensor, I've had a reply from RT support via email about this and they suggest using the following:

y = 0.575x - 0.0875

I'll see if it works...

I too am stuck with this

Does that equation alter mbar to bar as well ?

I get my boost readings through my ecu ,but the numbers seem wrong ,poss including atmospheric pressure already ?

Anymore help chaps

Cheers adam
