I am installing a DL1 and would like to use the VDO temp sensors with a pull down to the DL1 - the trick is I'd also like to use the same sensor to run the VDO Temp gauge.

Wondering if there are any issues with tapping off the sensor wire to the gauge for the pull downs to the DL1?

The DL1 will only put a very small additional load on to the sensor. So you should be fine just connecting the analogue input of the DL1 to the point at which your gauge picks up the voltage.
