Air Temperature sensor error

Postby Ray Ruthven » Wed Jul 30, 2008 8:11 pm

:? Hi, I am new to data logging so there may be a simple answer to this. We are just installing a DL1 and the sensors are all working OK so far except the Bosch Air temp sensor - from RT. We get a measurement but of -14 C on a 20 C day, I've checked and re-entered the formula with the same result. I read that a drop down resistor should be installed in the lead, which we bought, - how can I check this? any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Ray Ruthven

hi there
im in the same boat
this unit is not for the dumb asses
i spent ages and customer had to pay 1000 dollars for stuffing round

when u select the factory water or air temps it does its own equation

when u goto look at the equation there is 4 boxes
top value i think is a pos value
next is neg next is pos next is neg
i just made the pos into negs and the negs into pos
it sort fo worked and they sort of seamed accurate
but u should not have to do this
anyway my customer is on his last legs with this

Hi Ray,

As I suggested for sideshow, if you would like to email me:

- details of what you are connecting up to which channels
- the dash.dat file from the DASH2 setup program
- information about what's not working

my direct email is andrew@race-......com

I would be happy to check over everything and advise.

Kind regards,

Andy
