Temperature creeps up on its own

I have the DL1 linked to Dash2. Channel 1 is dedicated to Water Temp. It comes on at a reasonable level, but then gradually creeps higher (without the engine running). In about five minutes it's gone from 5 degrees to 30 degrees, and in half an hour maybe 150 degrees.

The sensor is a standard Caterham water temp sensor, with a 255 ohm pull up resistor to the 12V output of the DL1.

I can't quite figure out what would cause it to creep up in this manner. Other sensors (including oil temp) seem OK Any suggestions for what to check?

Which water temp sensor have you linked it to? The one that services the gauge I assume (rather than the ECU one).

What are the resistance characteristics of the sensor?

Yes, the single wire sensor for the gauge. Resistance characteristics? Don't know - using Tim's config. Will check later.

That's weird, it's not doing it today. Sitting steady at 7 degrees. Hmm....

Spoke too soon. It is rising - seems to do more so when not logging.

The log shows the voltage on that sensor (if I'm doing it properly) is zero most of the time with occasional sudden spikes up to something very small.

Will recheck the wiring.

Leg had broken on the pull-up resistor. Think I'm going to re-do them all.
